Thunderhead

A 5 second exposure of lightning surging from a thunderhead above the city last night. I ran out to the field with a tripod to take pictures, but it was pretty scary looking! This was one of my first shots when I was still fiddling with the settings, so I apologize that the cloud is a little overexposed. The sky is so unbelievable! This was taken in pitch darkness, with the lightning being the only light up the sky.
